  • The philosophy at IQ Village is to treat children as people – with respect and admiration – whilst at the same time letting them be children and ensuring that their day is filled with love, laughter and fun. Combining these three elements with a sound educational foundation is our challenge and our passion.

We are not a day-care facility – although, of course, we care for your child throughout the day. We know that young children have the ability to absorb huge amounts of information from a very early age and we seek to build on this to give your child a start in life that will put them head and shoulders above their peers by the time they start kindergarten.

At IQ Village we follow the constructivism theory -which fosters critical thinking and creates motivated and independent learners. Throughout the day we use the following techniques:

    * Students work in small groups - divided by age - with our highly qualified teachers to guide them.

    * We use a conversational model for our lessons - particulary during circle time and after story time.

    * We encourage our students to answer open ended questions.

    * To broaden their knowledge, teachers answer children's questions using relevant examples from around the world - thereby expanding the student's horizons.

    * We use a wide variety of a educational resources, including the internet. Whilst we live in a technological age - and is vital that our children embrace this - we also know that nothing can replace traditional oral and written communications skills.
